Giving up as yet, no, Gerry, so I’m maintaining the week’s 3 key sessions – speed, hills and long. These, in fact, are the only runs I’m doing. If the present physical state persists, I’m sensible enough to give the Etna a miss. Maybe it’s time I woke up my bikes from their 2-year hibernation!

Mrs Arafat was born and raised Christian. She converted to Islam around the time she married Yasser Arafat.

One thing puzzled me. Which madonna exactly is The Madonna of Malta? As we know we have several, with rival bands of devotees.

You watch a lot of films from what I read…… Airstrips, tunnels, …….. ! The round exhibited is nothing more than a blank used by the AFM (Armed Forces of Malta) who organize military exercises in certain parts of Malta. The ruler size in the photo clearly indicates it is a 7.62x39mm blank, which is the caliber used by the AFM’s main arsenal of Rumanian and Chinese AK rifles. The PEC marking with the NATO crossed ring clearly shows it is a military round, albeit a blank. The AFM do not use the M16 rifle and do not have them in their arsenal. Only a few M4 (full auto) rifles are in use by the Malta Police SAG unit. On the civilian side only licenced Target Shooter A and / or Collector A licence holders can purchase semi auto AR15 rifles or any other type of Semi auto rifle models which are available from approved licensed local gun dealers.
